Volunteers remove truck loads of area trash
The Stewardship Fund of Far Northern California allows visitors, businesses, and residents a positive opportunity to take care of the area they live in, profit from, visit and enjoy. The fund seeks to develop and maintain a more sustainable and rural economy through its grant giving and public awareness efforts. The Fund makes grants to projects, programs and good ideas that provide stewardship awareness and to activities that directly impact and enhance a visitor's experience of Siskiyou County. Examples of projects that are eligible for funding are:
Contributions are made to the Fund from a variety of different groups including visitors to the area, individuals, and local businesses, grants and other fundraising events, Local businesses may choose to donate a portion of their tourism sales and/or encourage their visiting customers to be a "Visitor Who Cares". Shasta Mountain Guides is a founding and contributing member of the Far Northern California Stewardship Fund. We are dedicated to enriching and caring for Mt. Shasta and its surrounding area.
