Breast Cancer Fund Climb Update

Check out the story map of the Breast Cancer Funds climb of the West Face so far this morning. All climbers are between 11-12,000 ft and continuing up. Mild temperatures and light winds are making for a great morning of climbing.

Thank you to your team who selflessly rescued my husband after a nasty fall off the summit! Words cannot express our gratitude in your heroic efforts to keep him comfortable and safe! You’ll be happy to know he has survived and was up and walking the hospital halls yesterday. While his road to recovery will be a long one you kept him from being paralyzed. Which according to his surgeon is nothing short of a miracle. On behalf of his children Ty-14, Porter-9, Roxy-3, Ben-2 and Ruby-4 months old, thank you for saving our Daddy!! Thank you!!!

    • Yes – thank you! Although I didn’t know your husband I was at the base that day and heard the whispers about what was happening. It’s great to hear he is doing well as this reminds all of us to be extra careful and to treat the summit with respect.

Are you local and from the area? Is he doing his full recovery in the hospital or has he been released?
